The Upsets Continue...

You thought March was bad? Think again. North America & LATAM N is back with new upsets and crazy stories this qualifiers.

After an exciting first monthly final, Tribe have reclaimed their crown and continue to build their legacy as the champions of NA, sweeping the competition in convincing fashion. With convincing victories across the board, they comfortably qualified this month.

STMN has yet to catch a break though. They beat their rivals at Luminosity 2-0 to qualify from the upper bracket this month, also taking down tough teams like JCT. With a month already gone, this is their chance to get ahead in the race for Worlds.

Remaining 7 also had a relatively easy road this month, although there is always an element of uncertaintly with this roster. While they dropped a set in UB Round 7 to Midnight Brawlers, they convincingly swept homeless in 2-0 fashion to qualify through the upper bracket.

The last bracket seemed to be a clear road for Spacestation Gaming, but upsets were in the cards this time around. March Monthly Finalists "Real Ones" managed to take the 2-1 victory against SSG and qualify from the upper bracket, a shocking upset. We were already impressed at their performance against R7 last month, and this continues to show their promise as a roster this year.

Lower Bracket Knockout Drama?

The Lower Bracket was stacked to be full of upsets too. LB Round 13 seemed to be another case of history repeating itself with West Coast versus Luminosity Gaming. However, due to personal circumstances, Patchy was unable to play. A core part of the roster, LG looked unable to overcome the challenges with their sub and were knocked out by WC, who qualified in 2-0 fashion.

Another upset in the lower bracket was SSG being knocked. Not even the close match seen in the upper bracket, 512 consisting of lesser-known pro Counter along with newcomer Diegogamer and old-timer Togi knocked out the favourites in convincing 2-0 fashion.

DC Team qualified with little trouble, and Juan Carlos Team once again qualified from the lower bracket knocking out homeless, a team who has yet to catch a break. What a crazy qualifiers with THREE new finalists this month for the 2024 season! Check out the teams below and our predictions at the bottom!

QUALIFIED TEAMS

1) Tribe Gaming | Zoulan (c), Tyrant, Ezlivi, Cori (C)

With a run nearly mirroring SK's clean sweep in EMEA, Tribe Gaming is back on top as the kings of North America. With less monthly finals, a win this month could be Tribe's chance to stamp their ticket to the World Finals this early on in the season. Will history repeat itself, as in 2022? Can Tribe go for the back to back victories?

2) Remaining 7 | Zeus (c), Killer, Luffy, Shuckle (M), Peter Jeck (C), lukluk23 (A)

R7 are back and hungry for more. Their showing last month was pretty poor, barely scraping by to the semifinals in a close 3-2 against Real Ones. Much of it had to due with the team facing some heavy illnesses, especially Zeus. With a recovered body and a renewed spirit, they have a chance to make impact this month. Their novel strategies like Mico/Kit shown off last month show their creative flair for draft - let's see if their execution can match.

3) *NEW* STMN Esports | bobby (c), Zhar, sans, Lukiebear (M), Acee (A)

The crowd favorites are back. On the back of a 2nd place finish at the world finals, last month's qualifiers shocked the world as STMN failed to qualify against Tribe Gaming and Luminosity, two equally talented teams. Sans is pretty close to finishing his masteries, and STMN is close to starting their year off strong. With one monthly final lost, they need every point they can get. With traditional rivals in SSG and LG out of the picture, can STMN make their mark and live up to expectations to close the gap?

4) Real Ones | Nathan (c), toxicgenie, Razuen, Square

They're back, and they're ready to prove what they have. Real Ones looked great in the last monthly finals, going up two sets against overwhelming favorites Remaining 7. Although they could not complete the task, many expected them to qualify again this month. However, most didn't expect that it would be from the upper bracket. Taking a victory over regional titans Spacetation Gaming, Real Ones have qualified from the upper bracket and are looking prime to make a statement. Can they make the semifinals and beyond, pulling ahead of rival teams and getting one step closer to the coveted LCQ or Worlds spots?

5) West Coast | Shine (c), Chepo, Alec26

West Coast's journey this month is an interesting one. Against a weakened Luminosity roster using a sub, West Coast has made it to the monthly finals, beating a team they traditionally get swept by. This squad has a lot to prove this month - that their qualification wasn't a mistake, and they're ready to go.

6) *NEW* 512 | Togi (c), Counter, Diegogamer, Sandia (A)

UPSET ALERT!!! Against all odds, this roster took a 2-0 victory in the final round of the lower bracket, knocking out Spacestation Gaming. This is Togi's first monthly final since Vatra in 2022, Counter's first monthly final since earlier last year prior to being removed from RCN NA, and Diegogamer's first ever monthly final. Facing fellow underdogs Real Ones who also took down the SSG titan, can 512 make a statement?

7) *NEW* DC Team | Alyanys (c), Betuchiz, ROLEDU, Ricky (M)

The core of Washed Team is back with a spiffy new org. Former coach ROLEDU is making his debut appearance as a player in this monthly final joined by veterans Alyanys and Betuchiz. They're facing STMN in the first round, but we can't count out this spiffy new roster ready to make a splash.

8) Juan Carlos Team | Juan Carlos (c), PaiN, SecondBest, Filip47 (C)

JCT is here again. And of coure they're playing the March MF champions in the quarter finals. In a close 2-3, they were defeated last month, but looked very solid. JCT has the opportunity to create some awesome upsets this month - can the Mexicans, the Brawl Stars Bible coach, and "NA Sitetampo" show what they've got?
