#BSC24 Rulebook Recap!
Written by leafy
Welcome to the BSC 2024 season! Here is a quick debrief of the changes and general information in the rulebook.
TOURNAMENT BREAKDOWN
The format for BSC this year is mostly the same, with very minimal changes. The stages of qualifying from Championship Challenge, the Monthly Qualifiers, then the Monthly Finals in order to qualify for the World Finals has not changed.
The championship challenge has stayed the same, being accessible to all players where players will have 3 days over Friday, Saturday and Sunday to win 15 matches before reaching 4 losses.
The qualifying stages have also stayed the same, with the same double elimination bracket spanning 2 days to determine the top 4 teams from the upper and lower bracket that will proceed to the Monthly Finals. All matches will stay Bo3xBo3.
The monthly finals are a bit different this year, with the removal of sub regions hence the removal of Pre-Broadcast monthly finals. This year’s format will be similar to the one in 2021 and 2022, a single elimination bracket with the exception of Quarter-finals becoming Bo5xBo3 similar to the Semi-finals and Finals.
Brawl esports has also revealed a new event called the Bonus Season that will happen after the regular season in September. Currently, we have no information about the Bonus Season and are expecting more information as we get closer to September.
The Last Chance Qualifier will also be taking place this year, with the only change being a decrease in the amount of teams qualifying for the Last Chance Qualifier from 16 to 12. This will most likely happen in October once again.
We know little to nothing about the World Finals this year, but we can predict that it will probably take place in November again. There will be 12 teams this year at the World Finals once again, and we do not know the location yet as well.
