The new South American faces

As we head into another year, a new region rises promisingly. Year after year, South America West has shown the world better and better performances, with Datos F/A winning one match against HMBLE, whilst Reconic Esports won against Chasmac EA and Team Flash, just falling short of Worlds - and now new teams are coming into the spotlight.

One of the most promising rosters are Blue Label, composed of local talents such as Portox - Monthly Final winner with LeaveNoWitness - Meliodas, Nico, and Exic, who competed at the LCQ with SKCalalas last year. This line-up managed to make the finals of the Monthly Finals towards the back-end of last year, and now they have strengthened themselves with the more experienced Exic and Portox, as they bid to make even more history.

Another promising team is 1c, made up of Prozy, Jeremy, Todd, and weepy. This roster, who competed as Shield Gang last year, has shown good results in training. Already with their own Monthly Final victory under their belts, they now have Prozy as the roster's most successful and experienced asset. The Chilean played with SKCalalas last year, and claimed the 3rd place spot, securing a ticket to Katowice, though they were knocked out at the earliest stage. Prozy also won a Monthly Final in 2023, and though they may not have as high expectations as other rosters, they are sure to be a contender to cause major upsets.

And finally, in what is probably the most interesting of the 3 rosters, is Panchos. Some big names return to join forces, with 2022 World Finalists NoOne and AleSSJ being joined by Lukitas and Tano. The reason this is so interesting is that despite the 4 having bucketloads of experience of experience amongst them, they have not been in the conversation as much as other rosters. AleSSJ making the regional switch following his hiatus from Brawl Esports after leaving TQ, where he made MSI and Worlds, will be the main talking point, but NoOne also making a comeback, what seems to be his first proper one since 2022, will also be one many will be looking forward to.

South America West can definitely cause some this year, with it being clear that the gap between East and West has decreased, and by a lot. The Brazilian teams will no longer be sitting comfortably, because not only do they have the threat of the more well known teams which include players from the old Reconic SA and Datos F/A, but they have a new set of challengers coming - keep your eyes on South America West.
