VN resign their 2023 roster

VN Esporting are running it back!

The British organization has once again picked up Rama, Mebius, and rookie Buzko for the 2024 season, who will be supported by manager Masashi.

After signing the F/A roster ANR composed of Rama, Nob?, and Mebius in August 2023, VN looked a real contender for the LCQ spots, but were far from guaranteed it. However, the qualification for the Snapdragon Pro Series EU&MENA Season 3 Challenge Finals in Cologne secured the team a place in Katowice, despite finishing 4th. In the LCQ, they achieved a very respectable 5-8th place, having defeated QLASH and Chasmac Gaming NA in what was considered the Group of Death, before eventually falling to NAVI in the Worlds qualification match.

However, since LCQ, VN have faced some roster instability. First, they saw talisman Nob? leave for the former roster of NAVI, who were looking to replace the retiring MMA, and his absence was felt. They tried using Filippo as a replacement for the Armenian, but this was short-lived and never really worked out.

Eventually, they took a gamble on Buzko, a rookie in relative terms, but someone who had a decent amount of experience in the lower levels of EMEA, having played for ApeX Esports, F/A Kozaki, and F/A Kebap in the past. It worked in the short-term at least, with VN managing to better their 4th place finish in SPS S3 with a 3rd place finish in S4, but we will have to wait and see how he copes in the BSC.

There have been changes in the background too. Analyst BlackGod left alongside Filip47; the latter joined Chinese Mainland World Finalists BC* Gaming. Meanwhile, ex-Marcos Gaming manager ezferr joined and left, and they were left without staff for a while before the addition of Masashi in early 2024. Now with the renewed backing of the org, they will look to fight for the top spots and for qualification to international tournaments yet again - but they have a lot more competition in the way this time around.
