New month, new teams

Written by m4d0o3e

Would it really be Brawl Esports without loads of roster changes in just a month? This month had its fair share of moves between teams, but don't worry - read on for a summary of the most important!

APAC

The headline move in APAC was NAVI's signing of Sizuku from F/A Nai Dug, replacing I see on the roster as they look to strengthen their LCQ and Worlds bid. I see found himself joining Cat Fight Club (Mameshi, Neko, Yume) as they signed for 3R Gaming. Meanwhile, the spot left in F/A Nai Dug was filled by rookie Ghost T, formerly of Feasible Gaming.

We also saw some changes in 2 of the underdog rosters that made the MFs in March. Gohan Oishi disbanded, with Dudus and Mira teaming up with Creo from Team S1, whilst Stardragon replaced Creo. Who Sanikama will play with is still unknown. There was also a re-formation of legendary squad APDO, a Korean roster that played in 2020 before they signed for SK Gaming and played under SK Miracle.

In the Indian section of APAC, the main move was Tomcat Trio (AarenSis, Manit, Flick) disbanding, with AarenSis joining Monarchy (Darky, Sraan, Hideaki), as well as joining Team S1 as coach after Gohan Oishi's disband.

Roster Change Summary:

Natus Vincere - Levi, Achapi, Sizuku (NEW - F/A Nai Dug), Rin Hallward (M)

3R Gaming (signed Cat Fight Club) - Mameshi, Neko, Yume, I see (NEW - Natus Vincere)

Disbanded rosters: Tomcat Trio, Gohan Oishi

EMEA

There was quite a bit of roster rotations in EMEA. It all kicked off when manager Masashi and Mebius announced their departures from VN Esporting, causing the hunt for a new player and roster. In the end, VN decided on blaksxy to complete the roster, and Selavi joined him as a coach. Mebius decided he wouldn't be leaving Tier 1 of EMEA any time soon, and joined Eclipsar. This caused the departure of Mric, who decided to find a better opportunity.

Another big change was the disbanding of SJJ, the experienced roster of SkYRiiKZz, Jeton, and Javi. After a disappointing MQ, the team parted ways, with Javi retiring. We also saw a new org enter Brawl in the form of Synchronic Gaming. They picked up Xiaku, Dorian and sqme, with Jules as manager. Xiaku had been playing as a sub for Pale Fox Esports, Dorian for Master Clappers, and sqme for Am o fantezie in the last Monthly Qualifiers, so this team was somewhat of a surprise. The gap in AOF left by sqme has been filled by Romanian Stas. But the story didn't end there for SG, and later they announced that Mric would be joining their ranks, meaning the Frenchman still has a lot to play for this season.

Roster Change Summary:

VN Esporting - Rama, Mebius, blaksxy (NEW - 17), Selavi (C, NEW)

Eclipsar Esport - OPE, GuGu, Mebius (NEW - VN Esporting)

Synchronic Gaming (NEW) - Xiaku (Pale Fox Esports), Dorian (Master Clappers), same (Am o fantezie), Mric (Eclipsar Esport), Jules (M)

Am o fantezie - Stel, Carry, Stas (NEW)

Disbanded rosters: SJJ

SA

South America probably had the biggest individual change of all the regions. Fofoletes F/A were unable to reach the grand finals of last month, and clearly, they thought this was not acceptable. They made the huge decision to pick up Jubileu from Urubus Do Pix, and Tufa went the other way. Could this be the first sign of the traditional big 6/7 players in SA breaking?

Elsewhere, SKCalalas, made a big signing of finalists CVD F/A, as they look to improve on their Last Chance Qualifier results last season. The roster certainly has a lot of promise, and following an impressive first month, who knows how far they can go.

Additionally, we saw some changes with Level Esports. Ander, Fernanlonzo, and Juarez (M) all left the team and were replaced by Lukitas, Deykon, and Rookie (M). Lastly, we sadly saw the retirement of Jeremy of One Chance. The departure of the Peruvian now leaves the roster with 3 players: weepy, Prozy and Todd.

Roster Change Summary:

Fofoletes F/A - Pekka, Mohtep, Jubileu (NEW - Urubus Do Pix), Rol (C)

Urubus Do Pix - Wesley, PitBullFera, Tufa (NEW - Fofoletes F/A), Kaiki (M), Sugus (A)

SKCalalas (signed CVD F/A) - CaueBR, Doritos, VTzim, Acee (A)

Level Esports - B4st, Deykon (NEW), Lukitas (NEW - Panchos), Rookie (M, NEW)

One Chance - weepy, Prozy, Todd

NA

As always, NA had fewer changes than the other regions. We saw Juan Carlos Team's analyst, Sebas, retiring. The Colombian had previously worked for teams such as Remaining 7 as a coach as well.

Probably the biggest change was the signing of Delay Team by a new org in the Brawl scene, DC Team. Let's see what they can achieve with the backing of an org.

Roster Change Summary:

Juan Carlos Team - Juan Carlos, SecondBest, PaiN, Filip47 (C)

DC Team (signed Delay Team) - Betuchiz, Alyanys, ROLEDU, Ricky (A)

Many teams have made many changes as they look to improve their positions for the season to come. But which will succeed, and which will fail? We will have to see this weekend.
